Mercury Research is one of the few agencies in Romania with a CATI dedicated facility. We have a modern CATI station of seventy nine terminals. This is a modern and cost-effective way of reaching the urban population (where telephone penetration is estimated to be around 70%) or mobile telephone users, either rural or urban.
For technical support we are using one of the most competitive software to run CATI studies - NIPO Software. NIPO Software is the basis for fast and high quality CATI research studies. It allows real time, on line gathering of data from respondents and visualization of fieldwork statistics at any time during the project.
Here is how the software works:
Interviewer PC's are turned into intelligent telephones by installing high quality audio/telephony cards in them. The NIPO CATI System then automatically dials, recognizes and registers busy lines and no answer situations, plays radio commercials, records open answers and allows supervisors to listen to the interviews via the PC network.Moreover, if required, the software generates up to date statistics about response, fulfillment of sample quotas, fieldwork costs and interviewer performances.
