Online Research - The Power of the Internet to Know the Market
On the 30th of January 2008, Mercury Research organized the "Online Research – The Power of the Internet to Know the Market" Seminar.
The event took place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and it was addressed to managers responsible of marketing and market research.
The Seminar benefited from the presence of the special guest, Ivor Stocker, Non - Executive Chairman at Mercury Research and Chairman at
Global Market Research.
In the first session of the seminar, Ivor Stocker exposed a complex picture of online research as it is nowadays used worldwide,
trends and perspectives. Cristi Parvan, Online Media Manager at Zenith Media presented on how Internet advertising has evolved up
to now and how we can measure the online audience. An introduction of why and how the online campaign can be measured was made
by Catalin Emilian, Operations Manager at Gemius.
The second session presented by Ioan Simu, General Manager at Mercury Research focused on how Internet research is or can be used in Romania.
Among the topics covered there were: advantages and disadvantages of online research, comparisons with traditional research, panels of consumers,
types of surveys and a live demonstration of an online survey.
