Mircea Kivu, New Operations Director at Mercury Research,  February 2010

Mercury Research, the largest independent market research company in Romania, has a new Operations Director, Mircea Kivu, starting 1st of February 2010.

With 20 years experience in the field of market research, Mircea Kivu has held top management positions in companies such as IMAS, where he worked as a Research Director and subsequently as the CEO until 2006, or Ipsos Interactive Service, where he held a Vice President position.

Founding member and President between 2001 and 2004 of SORMA (Romanian Society for Opinion and Marketing Research), Kivu is an active personality dedicated to supporting and developing the market research industry in Romania.

Mircea Kivu has been the national representative for Romania at ESOMAR (European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research) starting 1999 until  last year.

At the same time, Mircea Kivu has an intensive teaching activity as an Associate Professor at University of Bucharest, Sociology and Social Work Faculty, and The Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies where he teaches market research courses.

As an Operations Director, Mircea Kivu will supervise all work procedures related to operations departments of Mercury Research.
