Romanians’ perception of savings and investments in 2022

Romanians’ perception of savings and investments in 2022Find out what Romanians think about savings and investments from the latest study, conducted by Mercury Research for the Association of Fund Managers in Romania.

We discussed about savings and investments with over 1,200 people, both investors and non-investors, from the urban environment, age between 25-60 years, with net monthly incomes of over 3,500 RON and whose interesting opinions we invite you to discover.

Both investors and non-investors consider that 10 years is a reasonable length of time to achieve their investment goals, but their opinions on the investment process are different. As expected, non-investors see investments as a more complicated and risky process than investors.

According to the survey, investors are more likely men (61% compared to 51% of non-investors), young (26% are between 25-26 years old compared to 19% among non-investors) and have higher education (91% with university studies versus 84% non-investors).

When and why do people invest? For what purpose do they save money? What are the barriers they have when it comes to making investments? What is the amount they are willing to invest monthly and from which sources do Romanians choose to get information about investments? – These are just some of the questions that the study on intelligent savings offers answers.
